Research Project Application

It is crucial to carefully read the Ethics Committee guidelines before submitting an application. Doing so helps avoid simple errors during the application process. Such errors often arise during the preparation of the application file and can lead to unnecessary delays and correspondence. Therefore, when submitting a project application to the Local Ethics Committee, the following documents must be prepared in full and in duplicate (two copies).

Application File Contents:

1.  Experimental Project Application Petition (A formal letter prepared by the project coordinator and addressed to the Chairmanship of the Local Ethics Committee for Animal Experiments).

2.  Application Form PDF WORD (Care should be taken to use Turkish as much as possible when filling out the form. All relevant sections must be completed thoroughly, and appropriate choices must be selected from the multiple-choice options. All researchers involved in the study must personally sign the designated areas in the file.)

3.  Letter of Undertaking PDF WORD (Must be signed by all researchers.)

4.  Copy of Experimental Animal Use Certificate (Copies of certificates must be provided for all researchers who will intervene with the experimental animals for any purpose during the experiment. Researchers without a certificate are not permitted to intervene with the experimental animals.)

5.  Full-text copies of three scientific publications related to the project.

Application File Submission Dates:

The "Application Procedures" section (Article 18) of the Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University Local Ethics Committee on Animal Experiments (TOGÜHADYEK) Directive states: "Applications are made by completing the Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University Ethics Committee on Experimental Animals Application Form and submitting it to the Secretariat of the Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University Ethics Committee on Animal Experiments. Researchers must submit their application forms to TOGÜ HADYEK at least fifteen days prior to the meeting."
